My practice is driven by personal observation and an interest in perspectives that are often overlooked or left unexamined. Much of my way of seeing was shaped in childhood, forming a way of thinking that leans toward an unconventional understanding of my surroundings. This continues to inform how I develop ideas and engage with subjects that exist quietly within everyday life. I am also influenced by UAE culture, particularly its myths and rituals, and how they shape collective identity.

I primarily work with graphite, as it allows for a high level of detail and precision. I often create large-scale, photorealistic drawings through a slow and repetitive process. Despite the time it requires, the act of drawing remains intuitive and grounded in enjoyment. Alongside this, I practice photography, capturing moments of everyday life and finding comfort in the mundane. I also use photography as a form of documentation, focusing on places in the UAE that are often overlooked or underappreciated.

I view my practice as a form of archiving of both myself and my environment. I am drawn to the idea that everything is transient, whether it is a physical object, a place, or a belief held at a particular moment in time. Through my work, I aim to preserve these fleeting elements, giving them a sense of permanence while reflecting on their inevitable impermanence.
